Media Experience

Year	Organization	Responsibility
2001-Present	Freelance Photographer	Clients include IUPUI, J.P. Morgan Chase Treasury Services in Tampa, FL, Indiana Municipal Power Association, and others.
1980-1998	The Indianapolis News	Staff Photographer, until moved to picture desk in 1994. Remained a photo editor and assignments until 1997 when returning to photographer.
1978	UPI	While stringing covered mostly sports and some breaking news events.
	US Army	Army Photographer, document the building of the road from Seoul, to the 38th parallel in South Korea. Assigned to Ft. Riley, Kansas where he helped military photographers who began the 1st Infantry Division Photographic Facility, with duties to cover the events of the 1st Infantry Division in Kansas and on Reforger exercises in Germany.

Teaching Experience
Taught Photography at Defense Information at Fort Benjamin Harrison.
Taught Photojournalism at Indiana University School of Journalism at Indianapolis.

Philosophy of teaching
As a professional I feel I have a responsibility to share with future journalists whether they be writers or photographers. It is important to me that while there is art involved in journalism it is more than just another pretty picture. And to share with them the role of a responisible press in their communties.
